The problem
In 2025, conflict and violence are major drivers
of extreme food insecurity across crisis zones
such as Sudan, Gaza, South Sudan, Haiti, and
Mali, leaving millions without reliable access to
fresh food.
Droughts, floods, conflict, and climate-related
disruptions destroy farmland, contaminate
water sources, and break supply chains for
months at a time.
In these environments, traditional agriculture
becomes impossible and access to fresh,
nutritious food disappears.
